ME/CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME/FIBROMYALGIA ASSOCIATION OF QUEENSLAND.
Far North Queensland Support Group
Newsletter.
No 3 November 2003.
Greetings.
The FNQ Support Groups are gathering momentum. Thanks to everybody
who has agreed to be a "local contact". Their names and phone
numbers are listed below. Thanks also for your support and
encouragement.
Thanks also to the Atherton Neighbourhood Centre for continued
support and
referrals.
Events during the last 2 months:
* a successful meeting at Smithfield, with the Cairns Post
only publicising the meeting on the day!
* A relaxed "coffee" meeting under the fig tree at Ravenshoe.
* CFS lecture at the regular "nurse training day" at Smithfield,
for nurses, physio’s and O/T’s.
* Meeting with the CEO of the Rural Division of General Practice,
where I was able to deposit a Clinical Manual and
CFS information sheets.
It is important for us to be able to network and socialise.
